What is script writing?

A screen play or script is a written work by screenwriters for a film, television programme or video games. These screenplays can be original works or adaptations from existing pieces of writing. In them, movement, actions, expression and dialogues of the characters are also narrated. Screenwriters either pitch original ideas to producers, in the hope that they will be optioned or sold, or are commissioned by a producer to create a screenplay from a concept or a true story.

Difference between a script and dialogue?

A script is countable obsolete, basically a written document however, dialogue is a conversation or other form of discourse between two or more individuals. 

  How do you write a script for a story?  

Firstly outline your  story. Begin with the basic flow of the narrative, it is easier to write your story in three acts. Add sequences, then start writing scenes, begin writing dialogue, and lastly look through it and try to cut any unnecessary parts and details.
