Cultural differences between Eastern and Western Fashion

Image result for batik designWe all have our own waysof dressing, our different styles and tastes in what we wear, wether it is casual or formal outfits. 
Image result for typical fabric design In Asian cultures, bright colours are auspicious, the colour red and yellow are symbolic of prosperity for the Chinese, the former signifying progress and the latter earth, farming and growth. During imperial eras, these colours were worn mainly by royalty, those with wealth and power. And in the other hand the colour black would be associated with going to the funeral or death, since in Asian cultures they would avoid wearing all black or really dark tones.

Certain patterns are known as lucky patterns, for instance, "batik design" are believed to bring Indonesian children luck. 

In comparision to Western dressing, Asian fashion falls on the conservative side, modest dressing is the norm in some Asian countries becuase of religious standards that have been around for millions of years. The clothes on our back are a form of self-expression, part of our identity and who we are as a person in a moment of time. And sometimes our outfit tells us how we feel. Some reckon that as we age, our dress sense matures and we're inclined to wear neutral coloured clothes.
